Chapter 11, Morton Pumpkin Festival

This show was our best to date. Jason and his family have recently moved to Morton. I have been working in this town since March of 2005. So, we were all pretty excited to be playing at Morton's Pumpkin Festival.

The local community access channel was filming us. They had several cameras, both mobile and stationary. I've not seen the finished show, but I hear they play it on Morton Public Access (Channel 20).

What woman doesn't want Elvis to sing directly to her?

I'll tell you who. This girl. She wanted no part of this deal. Her friend pushed her to the stage and Al unknowingly hooked her with a scarf while he sang the twenty five minute version of "I Just Can't Help Believing". But other than that, it was a good show.

Here is what the band sees when Al paints his mural. He warned us that if we watch him paint, we might lose track of the chords we're playing.

We told him, "Relax, Al. We're professionals." And that was that.

During the finale of the show, a fight broke out in the audience. It was quickly contained but later we found out that the two guys fighting were brothers. One of them had a prostetic leg. Apparently it stayed in place for the length of the scuffle. Like I said, We're Professionals. :)

I still think this was the best one yet.
